Visiting Paris, Robert A. Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company, announces "an additional investment of 2 billion euros to extend the Disneyland Paris Park", which has just celebrated its 25th anniversary.
The manager adds that this is the largest investment since it opened in 1992. It will build three new areas devoted to Marvel, Star Wars and Frozen.
The development will be spread over several years and will be carried out in several phases, starting in 2021. It will "significantly" enlarge the Walt Disney Studios Park with "a new lake which will be the scene of new shows and will link the three new thematic areas of the Park ".
"With more than 320 million visits since 1992 and representing 6.2% of tourism receipts in France, Disneyland Paris is a tourism engine for the region. The destination continues to be a real economic and social locomotive for the territory with over 16,000 employees and more than 100 nationalities represented "says the group.
