Rimac hit a big blow at the Geneva Motor Show by presenting the Concept Two, an electric hypercar that rolls faster than the future Tesla Roadster.
        The next Tesla Roadster, announced at the same time as the Semi Truck, may have found someone to talk to. During the Geneva motor show, Rimac Automobili fisted on the table by unveiling Concept Two. Behind this evocative name, the Croatian manufacturer has designed an electric hypercar cut to offer performance like no other. On paper, its 1,914 horsepower – 1,408 kW – allow it to swallow the 0 to 100 km / h in 1.85 seconds, 5 tenths better than the American rival's Roadster, and reach maximum speed of 412 km / h. With its huge butterfly opening doors, the Concept Two, or C_Two for the intimate, does not go unnoticed. On the contrary. The lines are marked, the air intakes are numerous, the silhouette is racy and the hull is carbon fiber. On the bonnet, the folding entries modify the aerodynamic profile of the car, allowing to "split the air like a silent knife".
To achieve such sportiness, the C_Two is powered by four electric motors, one for each wheel. Thanks to an oil circuit cooling, they offer 97% efficiency, hence the claimed performance and acceleration never before seen. And to offer maximum torque in record time (2300 Nm!), Rimac has installed a pair of one-speed gearboxes at the front and a pair of two-speed gearboxes at the rear. And autonomy will not be sacrificed: 650 kilometers according to the NEDC cycle.
The Croatian firm has not skimped on the technology either, including including level 4 autonomous driving devices (eight cameras, two Lidar, six radars and twelve ultrasound sensors). Rimac wants to make a hypercar connected and intelligent. The Concept Two will be produced at 150 copies for a seven-digit price.
